Unless the Link is compellingly better, audio-wise, the Max is a safer bet. Overall, the Google Home Max is one of the best smart speakers that you can buy if you're looking for quality audio. It faces tough competition from Sonos's lineup, but offers a quality audio experience nonetheless. However, the Home Max won't be worth your money if you're not fussy about sound experiences.
